Praise Dance: This energetic class uses rhythmic tapping and stamping to powerful praise music. It's a joyful, high-energy way to praise God with your whole being. Worship Dance: Similar to contemporary dance, this class focuses on slow, controlled, and emotive movements. Each motion is designed to beautifully display and interpret the words of the worship songs.

Tap Dance:

Tap dancing is a unique style of dance where your feet become a musical instrument. By wearing special shoes, you create percussive sounds, making rhythms and beats with every step—just like a drummer. If you're passionate about music and love to move freely, tap is a great way to learn how to create your own rhythms and turn them into a fun, musical performance.

Keeping it Real

Don't let aches and pains hold you back from authentic worship. While our class is about praising God, we also focus on building a strong, pain-free body. To help prevent common overuse injuries, Laurie provides exercises specifically designed to promote healthy joints in your shoulders and knees. This intentional care allows you to move with greater freedom and confidence, so you can worship without limits.

Ensuring Long Term Mobility

Glute and Leg Strength Training
The first 15 minutes of our 6:30 PM Praise and Worship dance classes are dedicated to building a strong foundation. We focus on exercises for your legs, including glute strength training, lunges, and squats, all with an emphasis on correct body alignment to prevent injury. We finish the class with a deep stretch and planks to help build a strong, firm core.

Shoulders and Posture.
These elements are designed to build strength and improve your posture. Using weights and exercises like arm rows, we target your arms, shoulders, and back, helping you feel strong and stand taller. This is part of the interval training that we incorporate between our fundamental class offerings.
